Search Engine Optimization. Get Found!
As you may know – having an attractive website only goes so far. If your target audience can’t find your site easily they will inevitably end up going to your competitor’s website. OUCH.
Because our end goal is to help our clients make more money, at Barta Media Group, we take SEO quite seriously.

Top Rankings

There are numerous things that a good SEO company will do to help you get great rankings. Because the search engines are constantly being updated, it is vital that we stay familiar with current SEO trends and practices.

When a site is optimized for the search engines properly, it will receive traffic from the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN and others at no additional cost per visitor. The major search engines will send traffic to the site but the site needs to be developed to be acceptable to the search engine spiders. The objective is to be on the first page of the major search engines when users type in keywords that relate to the website. There are no guarantees of specific results in any search engines. We are of the opinion that any such guarantees are bogus and are typically a scam.  However, a good search engine optimization plan can get the site to the top of the search engine results and will keep it there.

Organic SEO

Basics of Search Engine Optimization.
In analyzing a website for organic optimization (meaning how well your site naturally ranks in search engines – not including paid services like PPC), several areas of the site must be examined.

Here are just a few of those areas:

  • Website On-Page Elements such as Meta Tags (Keyword, Description, Robots etc) and accessibility Tags
  • Page Titles and file names
  • Original Content – Positioning of the text and the disbursement of keywords throughout the copy.
  • Links- Link structure, anchor text, alt tags, headings and titles.
  • Keyword density of each major section on the page.
  • HTML Validity
  • The use of CSS coding to keep code clean and simple and file sizes small
  • Website accessibility
  • Website off page elements – the number of sites linking to your site (backlinks)
  • Link reputation of the site backlinks
  • Nature of the majority of your site, is it dynamic or static?
  • Getting indexed quickly by search engine spiders and crawlers
  • Search engine submission to all major search engines

While the initial SEO setup is very important when you are first building your website, the best results are achieved over a period of time.  Since most search engines are indexing your website every week to every three weeks it is important that the site rankings are checked after each time the site gets crawled.  This way you are able to stay on top of the latest results and keep your site moving upward in the search engine rankings.
